These typographic posters are part of a bigger project that I’m working on, concerning words with political connotations. I try to visualize the word “AUSTERITY”, a well-known word in my country, Greece. Austerity is a political and economic strategy as a response to the economic and growth crisis. A state of reduced spending and increased frugality in the financial sector. Austerity measures are unpopular because they have a bad impact on people`s life as they tend to lower the quantity and quality of services and benefits provided by the government.
